Solutions that respect the past, move the present, and inspire the future.
Qixi Fest, also known as A Wish Upon the Stars festival, was reintroduced to Singapore in 2023, attracting over 180,000 international and local visitors annually.
Reviving Qixi
This is the first comprehensive bilingual book about the Qixi Festival in Singapore. Besides looking into ancient Chinese texts to trace the origins and developments of the festival, it examines the customs brought over by early Chinese women migrants to Singapore since the mid-19th century.
Finding QiQi
Qixi Festival falls on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month. During this festival, magpies would magically form a bridge across the Milky Way to make wishes come true. But oh no, where have the magpies gone?

I had the opportunity to visit the “New World, New Life” Exhibition held at SCCC last year. I really appreciate the amount of thinking and effort that went into the conceptualization and the research of content for this exhibition.
You have created a wonderful experience for the visitors and also started off a positive ripple effect for us in schools! Please continue the good work and I look forward to the opportunities that we can collaborate again in the future.
