ELIGIBILITY
This internship is open to tertiary education students with a strong interest in arts/heritage management and real-world applications beyond theories learned in the classroom.
While your discipline or major is not important, we are for looking someone who is:
Ø Passionate about heritage and our community efforts
Ø Highly committed, takes initiative, self-motivated, and has a strong sense of responsibility
Ø Adaptable, resourceful, and a strong desire to learn
Applicant must be:
Ø Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
Ø Located in Singapore
Ø Preferably between 18 to 35 years old
Ø Able to commit for the entire internship period from 15 April to 31 August 2023
ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
You will have the opportunity to work closely with and be mentored by our heritage consultant Lynn Wong to support our work and heritage efforts such as reviving the Qixi Festival in Singapore. Such first-hand experiences will give you an insider view of the strategic planning processes behind organising community festivals/ events/ programmes, develop your understanding of heritage issues, and contribute to Singapore’s cultural and heritage scene.
Depending on your skillset, you will support the team in areas including but not limited to design, photography, copywriting, public communications, events management, documentation and administrative support.
This is a part-time internship with no fixed office hours. There is no monthly stipend for this internship, although meal and transport allowance will be provided when compulsory on-site work is required. Although there are no fixed office hours, interns will stay in close contact with their mentor, through online communication and/or face-to-face meetings, at least once every two weeks during the internship period.
